New Year Style Resolutions…2013
Every single year most of us girlies decide that we WILL really and I mean really stick to our ridiculous resolutions that most of us cannot even manage to do for the full month of January and just end-up feeling a tad deflated and disappointed with ourselves. Not a good way to feel…
That’s why we have decided to forget about the gym sessions, not eating desert, writing a book and all that nonsense and simply stick to something a bit more stylish…something that we can actually, maybe stick too? Resolutions that actually make perfect sense, will save us money, make us feel better and work for us all no-matter where we are on the style stakes. We want you to start this new year a bit more stylish, which means you will have to become savvier and if you do you will get the most wonderful wardrobe perfect just for you!
1. Be assertive, look sharp and believe in thy self!
If you are shy and not very forthcoming then just act the part, and soon it will become you, it will be you. Just imagine what the year could bring if you do this one resolution, you could be anything that you want to be or at least on the road towards it. This is an on-going process that will just keep developing and it is so exciting!
2. Stop falling for fads, know thy self and know one’s own sense of style.
Yup, we have all been the victim of impulse buying or just buying something because we think we are getting a good deal. Don’t fall for the trap of clever marketing, just ask yourself “do i need this, would I want it if it wasn’t half price?” Probably not….period.
Now that you are assertive, sharp and know your own style…
3. Be a savvy shopper, don’t fall for the big fat sales, and instead buy quality and less quantity.
Like we just mentioned (No.2) don’t fall for the 50% OFF, only buy what you actually need or really really love! Focus this year on buying quality items rather than throw-away fashion. Yes, its cheap but that is just what it is and you will never love it or respect it like your quality purchases. Just think of all the items sat in your ironing basket for maybe over a year…probably the cheap impulse purchases. Add them all up and you could probably afford something really special like a handbag that you would use every day, or a gorgeous well-made dress that you will have in your wardrobe for years to come and will love and cherish.
4. Enjoy a wardrobe that works for you.
Do this by getting rid of all the pieces (that really aren’t and probably never will be “heirloom”), thus making room for the new you (you know the assertive, sharp and savvy one!) Don’t hold on to items that you haven’t worn in a long time, double check whether you will wear them again by simply trying them on, see how they fit, see how you feel in them. If it isn’t fabulous, then say good-bye! Less is more, remember quality over quantity.
5. Look good, feel great.
Spread the love and be kind (but not a push-over) and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013
With Love and best wishes for this new year coming!
